Histapenia diagnostic markers
Please note: The basophil blood test is important because a low histamine plasma or urine level may be due to other factors. The basophil blood test gives a definitive diagnosis against a low histamine plasma or urine level. If copper levels come back as normal via the hair mineral test or the status is difficult to distinguish then a copper serum, copper urine or ceruloplasmin test can be carried out. Impaired methylation markers are also important but not completely essential if you have tested positive for a high histamine plasma or urine level along with a low basophil blood count. It is quite common for individuals to have impaired methylation markers but then to have normalised histamine blood and urine levels. Focusing on checking histamine plasma or urine levels or both and then the basophil blood count level is more important in the primary stage of diagnosis.
Main diagnostic tests
- Histamine plasma level below normal range
- Histamine urine level below normal range
- Elevated copper level in hair - hidden or direct levels
- Low basophil blood count level
- Impaired methylation markers (please refer to the methylation category)

Please note: The main diagnostic markers for histapenia are a low histamine plasma level and a low histamine urine level. Either or both of the tests can be carried out in order to move forward with the diagnosis. Both tests can also be carried out when one test result proves to be negative and a definite false or positive diagnosis needs to be met.
Treatment programme
If you test positive for histapenia then you will receive a treatment programme at no extra cost, you will also receive any support you need if you have any questions and queries.

Histadelia diagnostic markers
Please note: The basophil blood test is important because a high histamine plasma or urine level may be due to histamine intolerance rather than histadelia itself. The basophil blood test gives a definitive diagnosis against a high histamine plasma or urine level.
