PLEASE NOTE: This test is only available to purchase in the UK. The blood sample needs to reach the laboratory the same day as the sample is collected and the blood draw service can only be done at one of the four clinics in London. The blood sample also needs to be centrifuged.
- Laboratory: Viva Health Laboratories.
- Test kit delivery: The test kit is dispatched via Viva Health Laboratories. Royal Mail 24 hour tracked delivery is provided free of charge.
- Sample required: Blood sample via a venous blood draw.
- Sample analysis: Homocysteine plasma levels.
- Test preparations and instructions: The blood sample needs to be centrifuged and couriered to the laboratory the same day as the sample is collected. The blood draw can only be done one of the four clinics in London that Viva Health Laboratories works with. The four clinics are the QX Medical Clinic (34 Great Titchfield Street, London, W1W 8BQ), Thyme Tring Clinic (Champneys Tring Health & Wellbeing Centre, Chesham Road, Tring, HP23 6HY), Thyme Wexham Clinic (Park Hall Clinic, Wexham Street, Wexham, SL3 6NB) and The Hale Clinic (4 Harley Street, London, W1G 9PB). The minimum age for phlebotomy services with the QX Medical Clinic is 14, both the Thyme Tring and Thyme Wexham Clinics is 12 and The Hale Clinic is 8. The Hale Clinic charges £60 for their phlebotomy service plus a further £10 fee for blood centrifugation. If more than one sample for more than one test is required, there is a charge of £10 per extra blood test and £10 per extra blood centrifugation. The QX Medical Clinic, Thyme Wexham Clinic and Thyme Tring Clinic charges £50 for their phlebotomy service plus a further £10 fee for blood centrifugation. The £60 fee covers as many blood draws and blood centrifuging as required. Please arrange a phlebotomy service appointment after you have received your test kit at your address. You take the test kit with you to the clinics.
- Avoid non-essential nutritional supplements 2 days prior to sample collection.
- Returning the sample: The sample is sent to Viva Health Laboratories (UK). A Royal Mail 24 hour tracked return service is provided free of charge.
- Result turnaround time: 4 working days from the day the sample reaches Viva Health Laboratories.
- Practitioner support and treatment advice: Support via email, WhatsApp or phone is included if required and treatment advice is included if required.
