  • Laboratory analysing the sample: Doctor's Data Laboratory via Viva Health Laboratories.
  • ​Test kit delivery: Viva Health Laboratories sends the test kit. Royal Mail 24-hour tracked delivery is provided free of charge for UK customers. For customers outside of the UK, the delivery fee is £30 with tracking included. 
  • Sample required: A urine sample collected over a period of 24 hours. A large urine collection container is provided. A small urine collection tube is also provided to take a small urine sample from the large container. The test is suitable for all ages. 
  • Sample analysis: 45 amino acid analyte urine levels. 
  • ​​Test and sample preparation: Discontinue supplements containing amino acids 48 hours before sample collection. If possible, discontinue non-essential medications and supplements 48 hours prior to sample collection. Do not collect the sample when taking antibiotics. 
  • Returning the sample: The sample is sent to Viva Health Laboratories (UK). Viva Health Laboratories then sends the sample to Doctor's Data Laboratory (USA) free of charge. A Royal Mail 24-hour tracked return service is provided free of charge for UK customers. For customers outside of the UK, there is no return courier service provided by the laboratory, and the return courier service will need to be purchased separately. For customers outside of the UK, the laboratory will provide the documents required for exporting biological samples to the UK, and most couriers can be used. ​​
  • Test results turnaround time: 18 working days from the day the sample reaches Viva Health Laboratories.
  • Practitioner support and treatment advice: Support via email, phone or WhatsApp messenger is included if required and treatment advice is included if required.
