Toxic metal blood test UK

  • ​Testing laboratory - Biolab Medical Unit London.
  • Test preparations/instructions - It is recommended that you avoid fish and shellfish in the diet for 5 – 7 days prior to collecting the sample. Fish and shellfish have been shown to temporarily increase the excretion of toxic metals. Supplements that contain minerals should also be avoided 48 hours prior to collecting the sample.
  • Sample collection - Venous blood draw done via a medical professional (GP surgery, nurse or at Biolab's location)
  • Result turnaround time - 7 - 10 working days. The test sample is forwarded to an external laboratory from Biolab (Doctor's Data Laboratory in the USA), this is why there is a longer result turnaround time.
  • Support - Email support is included in the price of the test. ​​​​​​
