- Test kit delivery: The test kit is dispatched via Mindovermetal. The test kit is dispatched by Mindovermetal. Royal Mail tracked 24 hour delivery is provided free of charge for UK customers. For customers outside of the UK, the delivery fee is £10 including tracking.
- Sample required: Three saliva samples collected from the left inner cheek of the mouth and three saliva samples collected from the right inner cheek of the mouth using six cotton swabs in total. There is no spit sample required. The test is suitable for all ages.
- Sample analysis: MTHFR gene variants A1298C and C677T and COMT gene variant V158M analysed from the DNA in buccal epithelial cells.
- Returning the sample: The sample will need to be sent directly to Kashi Lab in the USA. Any courier service can be used to send the sample to the lab. If you are sending from the UK, Royal Mail is the cheapest option. To send the package tracked the cost is £7 - £12. Royal Mail is used at the first stage and then the package is handed over to USPS in the USA. If you are sending from outside the UK, the cheapest option is to use a local courier service. - Test result turnaround time: 7-9 working days from the day the samples reach the laboratory.
- Practitioner support and treatment advice programme: Support via email, WhatsApp or phone is included if required and an MTHFR gene mutation treatment advice programme is included if required. Treatment advice is also supplied by the laboratory in the report.
