Please note: This test is not available to people under the age of 18. 
  • Laboratory analysing the sample: Doctor's Data Laboratory via Viva Health Laboratories.
  • ​Test kit delivery: Viva Health Laboratories sends the test kit. Royal Mail 24-hour tracked delivery is provided free of charge for UK customers. For customers outside of the UK, the delivery fee is £30 with tracking included. 
  • Sample required: Four saliva samples collected throughout the day: morning, noon, early evening and night. The test is not suitable for people under the age of 18. 
  • Sample analysis: Cortisol saliva levels at four different times of the day. DHEA saliva levels. 
  • Test and sample preparation: On the day of the sample collection, do not consume any supplements until after all four samples have been collected. Do not eat or drink anything 1 hour prior to collecting the samples. Do not brush, floss, or have dental work done 30 minutes prior to saliva collection. Do not consume food or drinks that contain caffeine. Before each saliva collection, wash hands and rinse mouth with water, but wait 10 minutes to collect your saliva sample to avoid dilution. Avoid supplements that affect cortisol levels for 5 days before collecting the samples. Avoid products that contain cortisol for 5 days before collecting the samples. Avoid non-essential medications that contain cortisol for 5 days before collecting the samples.   • Returning the sample: The sample is sent to Viva Health Laboratories (UK). Viva Health Laboratories then sends the sample to Doctor's Data Laboratory (USA) free of charge. A Royal Mail 24-hour tracked return service is provided free of charge for UK customers. For customers outside of the UK, there is no return courier service provided by the laboratory, and the return courier service will need to be purchased separately. For customers outside of the UK, the laboratory will provide the documents required for exporting biological samples to the UK, and most couriers can be used. 
  • Test results turnaround time: 11 working days from the day the sample reaches Viva Health Laboratories.
  • Practitioner support and treatment advice programme: Support via email, phone or WhatsApp messenger is included if required and an adrenal fatigue treatment advice programme is included if required.
